El Vecino

Deminson Valoyes Arias, the man behind El Vecino. Originally from Chocó but based in Medellín, this artist is a great example of strength and perseverance.

After overcoming countless personal situations that have led him to forced displacement, prison, and exile outside the country, he managed to channel all of these situations in a transformative way, transforming them into music and accumulating a 10-year artistic career.

He has done notable work with young people from vulnerable communities in Medellín, helping them make music and actively dance for their dreams, through his record label: Hermandad Records.

Without pausing musically, he shows us the versatility of the musical process, taking you on a journey through different musical genres such as Dancehall, Afrobeat, Afropop, and rhythms that will make you vibrate.
